Sheffield Wednesday Team News And Predicted Xi To Face Qpr As Owls Face Injury Crisis

Sheffield Wednesday team news and predicted XI to face QPR as Owls face injury crisis

Latest on Windass, Luongo and Iorfa ahead of Selhurst Park clash

Sheffield Wednesday face another injury crisis as they prepare for their final away game of the season at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night. The Owls have already secured their Sky Bet Championship status for another season and boss Darren Moore could make changes with one eye on the summer. However, a number of first-team players have picked up knocks in recent weeks and are either doubts or out altogether for the trip to the capital. Here is a look at the latest team news and a predicted XI for Wednesday at Selhurst Park.

Goalkeeper: Bailey Peacock-Farrell

The Northern Ireland international has made 18 appearances since joining on loan from Burnley in January and is expected to continue between the sticks.

Defence: Jack Hunt, Dominic Iorfa, Mark McGuinness, Marvin Johnson

Iorfa and McGuinness both missed Friday's 1-1 draw with Barnsley with hamstring and ankle injuries respectively but could be available. Hunt played the full game at right-back, with Johnson doing the same on the left.

Midfield: George Byers, Massimo Luongo, Alex Mighten

Byers and Luongo are doubts for Tuesday. Byers limped off in the second half against Barnsley with a hamstring issue, while Luongo missed the match altogether with a similar problem. Mighten could come in if the duo are not fit enough to start.

Attack: Josh Windass, Callum Paterson, Lee Gregory

Windass missed the Barnsley clash with a knock but is expected to be available for the trip to London. Paterson started up front against the Tykes, with Gregory playing just behind him.

Substitutes: Cameron Dawson, Sam Hutchinson, Liam Palmer, Florian Kamberi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Theo Corbeanu, Michael Smith
