Bella Brave, a popular TikTok star known for her uplifting videos and rare medical conditions, has died at the age of 10, her family said Sunday.
Brave, whose real name was Isabella Thomson, had more than 2.3 million followers on TikTok and was known for sharing videos about her life with three rare medical conditions: spinal muscular atrophy, restrictive lung disease and scoliosis.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Brave's mother, Kyla Thomson, said her daughter died "peacefully in her sleep" on Sunday morning.
"Our hearts are broken, but we are comforted knowing that Bella is now free from pain and suffering," Thomson wrote.
Brave's death has sent shockwaves through the TikTok community, with many of her followers expressing their condolences and sharing memories of her.
"Bella was such an inspiration to so many people," one TikTok user wrote. "She always had a smile on her face, even when she was going through so much."
Brave's family has asked for privacy during this difficult time.
