On the red carpet of the 2023 VMAs, Nelly Furtado spoke to Rolling Stone about her new music and her upcoming performance. The artist and VMA presenter revealed that she brought her 19-year-old daughter, Nevis, to the event as her date.
Furtado's new single, "Eat Your Man," is a collaboration with Dom Dolla. The song is a departure from her previous work, and Furtado described it as "a fun, light-hearted song about female empowerment." She also revealed that she is working on a new album, which she hopes to release in 2024.
In addition to her music, Furtado is also an outspoken advocate for social justice. She spoke to Rolling Stone about the importance of using her platform to speak out against injustice.
"I think it's really important for artists to use their voices to speak up for what they believe in," Furtado said. "I'm passionate about human rights, and I want to use my music to make a difference in the world."
