Edwards Scored 20 of His 33 Points in the Third Quarter
The Minnesota Timberwolves held off the Los Angeles Clippers 109-105 on Sunday night thanks to big performances from Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert. Edwards scored 20 of his 33 points in the third quarter, while Gobert added 22 points and 16 rebounds. The Timberwolves led by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter, but the Clippers fought back to cut the lead to three with just over a minute remaining. However, Edwards made two free throws with 10.2 seconds left to seal the victory.
The win was the fourth straight for the Timberwolves, who are now 28-27 on the season. The Clippers fell to 32-23 with the loss.
